Who organized the debate? That might be your answer. Or, it could be the Republicans, wanting to appear 'fair', did the stupid thing (AGAIN) and tried hand-feeding the shark (an analogy), because they forgot what happened the last time they did it.
One day they'll wake up and realize that you don't 'play fair' with people who have no character. One day.....

I'm not so sure about what you say. I DVRed both debates and the post debate recap's so I could viciously scrutinize every little detail. I was surprised to have my opinion of Mathewes improve, and I wasn't even planning on noticing him. I saw innuendo and body language that showed he is a different person in real life than the personality that gets advertising dollars into his network. He had the most reasonable comments about analysis on the Democratic Debate, and gave enough questions to let each Republican look bad and good and differentiated. I found out why I wouldn't vote for most of the candidates on both sides, and found things wrong with my favorite, (Obama) yet still have him as my front runner. I liked what hie did, and that is no joke.

You are correct! However, I cannot help but be proud of the fact that the Republican candidates were courageous enough to debate on MSN with Matthews as moderator while the sissy Democrats are too frightened to debate on Fox.

I am glad to see that I am not the only person who found the selection of a moderator a bit of an anomaly. For the next Democrat debate why don't they let Sean Hannity preside?

I can think of leftist commentators who would have been far worse -- much more unfair -- than Matthews. And I have no reason at all to think of Matthews as some kind of Anti-Christ.

Why do they keep calling it a debate? I heard someone call it a 90 min. commercial. Asking about evolution was really dumb! All question had nothing to do with what a pres. does. His views have nothing to do with if abortion is overturned!
What's strange is the media keeps commenting on this "debate" but very little was said about the dems "debate."

"What do you hate most about America?"
"What do you think of Catholics?"
"Why is Chris Matthews, a man with the IQ of my pet rock, still on TV?"

Left wing anti-Christ? Aren't you getting a bit mixed up with religion and politics? It is humorous that many mix religion into virtually every subject they discuss.
