It will be serious, but not really life threatening.

I think global warming is a serious issue but it will not be life threatning in our lifetime...however, in the distant future it will cause more climate issues....
What i dont like about this theory is that it focuses too much on human casues of global warming, I mean what about the sun's natural cycle, dont solar cycles contribute to our changing climate, along with other episodes of the suns cycle??
Also, I believe that this theory is gaining alot of popularity due to its "finger pointing" its true that human activity does contribute to some climate changes, but its ridiculus that now everything that we do seems to effect the environment ......a few weeks ago i heard on the news that German scientist developed a new pill to prevent cows from farting because they believe that its releasing too many emissions lol isnt that over the board here.............I think the public needs to be more aware of other factors that contribute to global warming not just human factors.........

i think global warming is natural cycle of the earth.
they say for millions of years there has been ice age then not a ice age then another 1 and so on and on
.
because earth has ice on caps we are still in an ice age but nearing the end of this...so yes it prob will b life threatning but nothin we can do will make the blind bit of difference and in 100000 yrs or so the caps will freeze again and prob the whole planet.
i also read that sum volcano in yellowstone puts out more c02 and other harmful gases than all humans combined so how can we stop wat earth itself is doin....i live in uk and we had a mild winter and are expectin a good summer...if thats all there is to worry bout then bring it on

It's a 50/50 chance they're right. We're either getting warmer like today's popular theory, or we're getting colder, like the theory heralded 20 years ago.
Life threatening? Life changing, perhaps, but not life threatening. Many historic cultures have dealt with climate change, usually by moving or adapting.

its so funny. ever since an inconvinient truth people are hypes about global warming. and i agree that this is a problem.
but the environmental issue is so much bigger than global warming alone.
water pollution. water privitization.
introduction of genetically modified plants to the natural environment without telling people. feeding GMO to people without telling them. Some leading to kidney problems.
packaging. disposable product. pesticides.
the plutonium dust in the middle east from out weapons. posioning the solders and the people who live there.
where are the honey bees?
loss of jobs as machines take over.
over production of medicaiton which must be sold.. causing people to be prescribed.
environmental pollution involved in all scientific research. (you should see th waste production).
Open your eyes... there is more to worry about than global warming alone.

I think global warming is what it is! One day we'll all be doomed based on past mistakes and anyone who thinks other wise is nuts! and must live under a rock! becasue the weather in the past few years is a great indicition of what is to come!

I suggest that on present evidence it's not a good idea to simply persist with business as usual in order to find out.
