Do you have a wireless router connected to your internet so your adapter can find a signal?

I am going to assume that you have a wireless router available that is set up with a wireless connection.

It is possible that the wireless router was set up to hide the SSID (meaning the SSID is not broadcast), and if that is the case then you either need to enable SSID broadcasting or manually program in the wireless network name (the SSID).

If you still have trouble, see if you installed the Linksys wireless utility by accident. If so, uninstall it and just use the XP wireless utility. The Linksys utility is just for 98/ME computers.

Good luck! If this doesn't work, e-mail the guy who first responded, as he seems to have alot of points AND the time ;)

Is your Wireless Router / Modem set up to broadcast its ID so that your Linksys adapter can find it?
