Set the tun into the space where it's going to rest and mark it. I make sure the floor is well braced and in good condition. Then I remove the tub and put in three to four bags of level set (40 lbs. ea.) and then reset the tub into this. This will stop all noises from the tub and give a good support.

With a level. From side to side it should be level. This should be verified at both ends. From end to end it should pitch slightly toward the drain.

After experiencing a bad fall in the shower, i would not think of having a tub or shower without at least one grab bar. This costs a lot less than my week in the hospital.
