I would like to hook both my pc and xbox360 into my monitor, and have heard I have to use a kvm switch in order to do that. However, I am new to hooking consoles into pc monitors, as well as to using kvm switches.

You plug the vga cables from the xbox to the kvm switch and the monitor cable from the pc to the kvm switch, then you connect another cable from the monitor to the kvm switch. A word of caution, make sure that the kvm switch you buy can support the resolution you normally use for your computer. If it doesn't, then when you switch back from the xbox to the pc, the screen will be all messed up. Also, if you can, make sure you have a monitor that can support HD, to take full advantage of the xbox.

You plug the pc video cable and the xbox video cable into the video in ports and then the monitor into the video out port. Thats it.....
