Did we have such a timetable in World War II? Is it a good idea to tell our enemies the exact date the U.S. is giving up and leaving?

In the future when they vote for a war they might want to go ahead and put the expiration date before instead of after - just so the military knows how long they have - make sense?

Good idea? Things will be quiet for a while, then BAM! America gets hit again.
The Democrats start whining ... "we didn't know!" "take care of us!"
The Republicans say "hey, we warned you. We are prepared, with firearms and food and a plan."
The world falls apart........

I could understand their point if they actually wanted me out of Iraq. Then they would vote to get me out of Iraq. Instead, they want to squeeze my nuts for a while, and then make me quit. I can't support that. If you want to make a stand, that's fine, but make the stand, don't tapdance around.
