I remember when I was younger I used to have a tree and a bush in my front yard that I would always play in. When I crawled under the bush, I would imagine it was my own little cave, and I'd play around and talk and sing, just like your daughter. I highly doubt that it's anything unusual. It's just a child's imagination at work. Sit back, relax, and watch the wonder and amusement your child is experiencing, because it really is pure joy.

the first answer is a prime example of why you do not see them.
we are told from an early age that nothing exists that adults cannot see. we are told that there are no fairies, no invisible friends, no gods, no santa etc. but they still exist. it is just that as adults we all feel the need to be "mature" and "grown up" and to not believe in the many little people any more. so we in turn tell our children that they do not exist.
your daughter can see them. and they will protect her and you from many things. you should nurture this in her and maybe one day they will again show themselves to you.

It depends on what you believe in.
Children are more sensitive to angels and spirits, and are more likely to see and speak with them (assuming you believe in that sort of thing). Here's an interesting article:

If you are more of a realist, you can probably write it off as childhood creativity and imagination. In any event, it's completely normal for a 2 yr old.

She might just have a very creative imagination. Or yes, she might see things you don't see.
Some say that babys see things.....like spiritual beings that we can't see. She might be seeing spirits.
Think of it as a gift. As she grows up she will be less in tune with the spiritual veil that seperates us all from those who have gone before us.

She may be imagining things, or talking to herself. She's a young child, after all; they're prone to imaginary friends and that sort of thing.
If it gets really bizarre, you might take her to a doctor just to be sure; could be a sign of some sort of mental illness, but i'm really not sure.

She may be seeing things you don't. First, check for a white spot of hair near the back of her head. If you see one, she sees dead people. Second, check the food you're giving her for peyote which has hallucinogenic effects on people. Hope this helps.

It sure sounds like it. As long as she isn't screaming and it doesn't terrify her I wouldn't worry about it.
