It's extremely difficult. I sometimes find myself re-living humiliating moments that happened years ago, but they still burn in my memory. I just try to remember that everybody makes mistakes, and I'm certainly not the only one. And then I try to think of all the really good moments I've had (like winning awards and so forth) and dwell on that, rather than on the embarrassing incidents.

learn from it, remember how it made you feel and the ones it affected, DON'T REPEAT IT!!! make a plan for a positive change and stick with it < behavior mods. take time and hard work since they are part of our habits , so take it slow , make a plan of action , remember that you will not change unless you make choices that are better and good luck to you >>>>>>>>>you are not alone , we are all human , mistakes happen, just remember , never give up on the good , and make better decisions!!!!

hope this helps !!!!

I do something else equally as stupid. Then I stop beating myself up and start all over again.

just remember that past is past, there is no use bringing it up unless you can change it.
now, am not saying that memories will not catch up on you, this usually happens to me when am alone, i just get my mp3 player or grab a book to distract myself.
