The first time I married my mother in law was overbearing, offensive, controlling and unbearable. Her actions and her son's justification of them caused our marriage to break apart and resulted in divorce. I am now being rewarded for the 10 years of misery she caused me because my new mother in law is a gem.

It's not a rule, it's more like a choice. If my son-in-law would pay attention to his wife and family and less to gaming, paintball and the neighbors, I wouldn't have to be a b****. My daughter doesn't make him toe the line because she's afraid he'll leave--I say it would be no loss.
