Weird habits from childhood? I still cover mirrors at night.?

I say goodnight to my stuffed animals
When I was little I thought that they might come to life at night so I had better be nice

My bed never faces the closet and the closet door has to be closed for me to go to sleep

I still am afraid of basements they creep me out

*I have to close my closet doors at night also!- I don't know why...

*When I was little, I had to say goodnight to ALL my stuffed animals and take them (in the car, to sleepover parties, ect) places equally or they might get jealous of each other.

*I used to be afraid that if I didn't treat my American Girl Doll with respect, she would come and attack me at night. (my friends started to tell Chuckie stories at lunch recess at this point in time)

*I have to turn of my computer, close my shutters, and have my door cracked open a bit, or I have a lot of trouble sleeping.

and last but not least

*I have to have a pen and paper nearby my bed just in case I have to write a story/poem/one-liner down.

The closets have to be closed. My gram used to say, "We don't want the closet things to get out". I don't know what that meant but it scared me and I closed them anyway and always....to this day!

Also, I have always slept under the covers with only my face showing and the covers wrapped around my head.

As a child, I always covered my ears while sleeping since I saw that TV show, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits...about the earwig. One got into a man's ear and the doctor said, "The good news is, it's dead, the bad news, it laid eggs". Eeeewwwww!

thats nothing i cant sleep with my daughters dolls in the room with me i put them in her closet every night before i go to bed then i turn on the bathroom light turn off every other light in my apartment close the closets door check all the locks then make husband sleep between me and the door so if something happens they get him first sad i know but its just siomething i do i have no explaination for it i just do it its the same routin every night must be OCD or something anyways good luck oh yeah and i cant go in a bathroom when the light is off the mirror freaks me out

Afraid of dark.

And I don't like facing the closet while I sleep feels like someone is going to pop out of there!!

and I have to cover my ears with my hair or something because Im scared that bugs or flies will get trapped inside!

i said goodnight to my stuffed animals when i was like 6,but those are locked away at my moms. OK as crazy as this sounds, but my mom will come over when i am sick and sing me a song. i had a habit of refusing to go to sleep till she did that when i was a child. there is something in my moms voice that makes me feel better when i am sick and i sleep better.

I make a sign of the cross before taking a bath/shower. I really don't know why.

And I'm afraid of the dark, so I have a night lamp on, an emergency torch lamp and my bible beside my bed.

I can never sleep with a window open (which is really a pain in the *** when you live in Southern California) cause I thought that monsters would come in through the windows when I was sleeping when I was a little kid.

I make the sign of the cross before getting into bed. My mother taught me to do this from earliest childhood. She told me it was for protection (from what, she didn't specify, and I was afraid to ask).

i have a dresser with 3 mirrors on it in front of my bed a wardrobe beside my bed with a long mirror on it and i sleep with my windows up since its stated getting warmer,but i do turn my fish tanklight off,it has to be completely dark before i go to sleep.
