Why do you lie?

When I lie, it's usually out of fear. I don't lie often though, simply because I'm bad at it....if it's not effective, what's the point?

Generally, if I lie, it is to protect the feelings of another. Generally done with a partial truth, and generally no of something of importance. I can't remember the last time I lied about something of importance, though I have made mistakes.

I hate to lie!! You always get caught so I don't see why people do it! I think I'm a pretty honest person. The only way I might lie is to protect some1's feelings. Like; "Do you like my new haircut?" ahhhhhh..ok! If they can't change something then why hurt their feelings? right?

People lie to avoid the embarrassing truth.

I don't know why I lie! Maybe because of these reasons:
-Hesitation/Anticipation for trouble
-Pressure to impress others
- Get people to like you for wrong reasons (saying you are rich, have a lot of things, etc., but you really aren't/don't)
-Be a smartalic
-Knowing you'll never get away with it, (wich never happens)

I only lie to protect other people´s feelings from being hurt....that is the one and only reason....

i lie to hide the truth, to hide th pain, to hide the weakness, to ease the burden of worry on others
