Depends. I was always told to wash the car after rain. I was told, rain has chemicals (acidity) that can cause rust. Of course, it never fails. Wash the car, then it rains. So that advice just rolled out the window. My honest answer? I wash my car after I am sitting in traffic and looking at the other clean cars out of my dirt fillled window. Then, I pull the keeping up with the trend and wash my car. It could be any day of the week. A wash and a wax that I do myself. Saturday morning. Why? Morning best. Takes wax longer to dry because of the cooler weather. Hot weather, I have put it on and feel like the karate kid wax on wax off. Cooler weather I have a little more time to put it on and a brief time to rest before it comes off.
