I have to write a modern day fairy tale for school and I am having trouble thinking of a story line. Any ideas? I would really appriciate it! :)

Do a search on yahoo answers for a question on which story/fairytale villian got a bad rap? and then create your own, giving the viewpoint of the other guy. Like Rumplestilskin complaining on why he helped out the lady and was gypped out of the firstborn she promised. Or why the Blue Fairy hung around Geppetto to make his puppet into a real boy. Or the troll explaining why he didn't like the goats using his bridge.
There's always two viewpoints to every story, so why not give it a try?

He's a construction worker, she's a waitress. She serves him coffee every day. She's in financial trouble, he offers to help her out, but in return, she has to pretend to be his wife for one weekend. Carry it on from there, gl.

gangs, cars, wealth, there always has to be a enemy kinda like the dragon but without the dragon, there has to be love in it, base it on life as you see it and maybe throw in some things you experienced in life
