I would say much more true than false. As a matter of fact, I don't think it will take 5 yrs.. As you have pointed out, everything is in place. One push and we topple.
This has been in the making for over 50 years. That is approximately when the Give Me generation started.
Of the children born in The US thirty some percent are born out of wedlock. Wow! We owe them. Every minority group believes that they own the country. Our Government wants to save the world. ON and on. In short I have not seen so much
Crap going on in my lifetime. Entitlement to the highest degree. Oh well it was a nice ride while it lasted.

I dont expect the Us to crumble in the next 5 to 10 years.
I think what the question should be: When will President Bush crumble. Hey Georgie boy, if you are reading this then you are not even close to what your father was for a politician.
Bush should be held accountable for his actions like Saddam Hussein. The only thing that exempts bush from being named a murderer is that the American Government has the term "In God We Trust" Wow now bringing in religion to the matter.. Well now this is hipocritical isnt it ? I think religion is a socially accepted form of insanity. Anyhow the USA needs a man like Bill Clinton. Sure, Bill was not berfect and you and I also have a skeleton or two. Its just that his skeleton had meat on her bones and folks it seemed to me that she had a fat *** and sucked on a cigar from the wrong orfice!!!!

Depends on a lot of factors.Hard to give it a time table. If we continue down the road of political correctness and "progressive" thinking, and letting negativity rule the day then yes as we divide further and further apart we will crumble. If we run our lives with no absolutes such as right and wrong only shades of grey we will just go in circles with no direction. But if you look at history that is a normal thing. No great country has ever lasted longer then a little over 200 years. And they were all destroyed from within. You'd think we'd learn from history instead of just repeating it over and over again.

I don't think the U.S. will crumble per say, but it is headed toward being a different country than the one we know and love. If we continue to allow tens of thousands of immigrants to unabashedly waltz into our country with total disregard for our laws and customs, well then it WILL NOT take very long at all before we find ourselves in a dire situation miles beyond the point of no return. Sadly, until were at that point, most will continue to turn a blind eye and beleive what they hear in the media. (most media, not all)
Unbeknownst to most of you, the vast majority of the news you see, unless you watch Fox, comes almost entirely from one source. George Soros. If you know anything about this man and his past, he is the last person on earth anybody should be getting information from, next to Kim Jong Il.

Nah... dude, come on.
We still have a juggernaut of an economy that will take India and China decades to rival. As for the war, trust me, we'll probably pull out and try to clean our hands of it (even if I think thats unethical). As for deep political divisions? Yes, we Americans are deeply divided, but in the end, common sense pulls through and we'll work together, as we have done since the conception of this great nation.
As for the racial tensions? Dude, its only been 50 years! Kanye West just said what he said because he's an idiot who has no idea what he's saying and since more blacks are upwardly mobile, they can probably integrate into American society, and the same can be said for Hispanics too, if we get a grip on illegal immigration.
I think we underestimate our ability to change all the negatives that surround us into something positive.

true but not to that extent. the romans thought the would be around forever, the english were everywhere but what of them now.
americas' own greed, protestant values, unwavering faith in their capitalism, and refusal to adapt to the changing world around expecting it to succumb to them has brought this on.
the world no longers fears america and the almighty dollar.
but from within is where this country shall crumble, instead of making things better for everyone a selected few are looked after. they take jobs away from their own people to save money, then the gov't takes away programs and privitices others. programs that were meant to help those people, all for the "greater good"
for a country founded on equality and freedom for all; the status quo couldn't be further from the truth
SIC TRANSIT GLORIA ... it was a good run while it lasted. this country will have some restructuring to do that will allow other to surpass it

Civil war wouldn't happen the goverment took away the ability to leave the union on 1964 and the ability for a state to use its national guard as a army.

Absolutely not - I know that our core beliefs remain unshaken. Despite differences in opinion, in the long run we are one. Let me quote from history that I still think is true today. You only have to go on vacation somewhere abroad and run into another American to appreciate your country.
The U.S.A. "comprises two elements, the soil itself and the men who live thereon. We love the soil in which our fathers sleep, the land in which we were born. We love the men who as fellow dwellers share that land with us. Let a citizen from Maine meet a citizen from California on the banks of the Tiber, they will at once forget that at home they dwelt three thousand miles apart. State lines are obliterated, party differences are laid aside, religious animosities of existed are extinguished. They warmly clasp hands, they remember only that they are fellow American citizens, children of the same mother, fellow dwellers in the same land over which floats the Star - Spangled Banner. "

I don't expect the US to crumble in the next 5-10 years. I do think that we have economic hardships ahead, and I do think we may lose our title as the sole remaining super power. But I really do not think that we will fall into a civil war, Americans are not divided, but we could still be united better.
The natural disasters are part of life. We have tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, and will always have them.
I do think we are in danger of an major economic crisis though due to our governments irresponsible over borrowing.

America is 2 nations....one that believes in freedom, democracy and the Constitution......
and one of corporatists followers of Reagan, Bush, etc.
but it is doubtful there will be another civil war.
As the people figure out this latest right-wing scam the conservatives will go back in the gutter, until they try again in 20 years to overthrow our way of governance, our democratic way of life. Bush is just the next Reagan...Thank God their lies never hold up to the test of time...The people, no matter how much propaganda they must filter through.... the majority of Americans always figure it out
If we do fall it will be like the Roman Empire...from the inside out..from vast corruption and an attack on the liberties of the people.....
obviously during one of the future Reagan/Bush clone administrations
