the emancipation proclamation freed all of the slaves in the country.. including the south..., it allowed the slaves to flee north; greatly damaging the slave run economy of the south. So that's what u meant. Both are very important. Altho I personally like the Gettysburg Address more, if ur writing an essay, u should do the Emancipation Proclamation cuz u'll have more to write about.
The Emancipation Proclamation was signed on January 1, 1863. It freed the slaves in the South and many fled to the North after being freed. Altho Lincoln did sign it, he wouldn't have signed it if freeing the slaves didn't help save the Union. The main goal of the Union was to preserve the Union, not free the slaves, but Lincoln would do it if freeing the slaves saved the Union. The Proclamation also tipped the scales in favor of the Union. Britain and France opposed to slavery and therefore did not recognize the South. It was one of the key factors in the Civil War.

The Emancipation Proclamation freed the southern slaves, and had the effect of giving the war a sense of moral purpose. The Gettysburg Address was a nice bit of rhetoric, which is why they have schoolkids memorize it, but it didn't actually do anything. So the Emancipation Proclamation was by far the more important.

Both are important and have their own place in our History. The Emancipation Proclamation freed the slaves in the South only. The Emancipation became the 13th. Admendment to our Constitution. The Gettysburg Address which was written by Lincoln was an effort on his part to unite the country. It was also his way to honor the soliders who died in battle at Gettysburg. Both documents are important and helped to shape our Country into the greatest Country of all time.

i would say the bill of rights because it gives every citizen of america the sames rights that can not be taken away and for everyone it also can add new rights that people have al those other documents were for political means such as land, slavery, war, money which are all important and without them today we would not be the same but for us everyday people the bill of rights would be the most important
emancipation proclomatios is more important because it freed slaves from there captive masters it also gave very few limited rights to black men and set a current minimum wage "so that all labor done by man shall be rewarded with a price or gift'
