Miracles do happen and so do tragedys. It is possible for a medical professional to miss something and make mistakes. Don't listen to people telling you that prayer is a waste of time. Perhaps in their lives they are unfortunate in understanding the truth. I can't blame them considering the state of affairs in life and the reputation having faith brings. There is more to it than most people realize and it goes way beyond our knowledge of science, humanities and mindset of reasoning. Very intelligent people, who think they have a "realistic" view on life are still mislead. They have every reason for thinking this way but it doesn't make thier perspective any more real or factual than the easter bunny. So for now, pay it no mind. However, as painful as it is, sometimes horrible things happen to us in life. It sounds harsh to use phrases like "we don't always understand God's will" Not every horrible thing that happens is a matter of God being uncaring. I would seek another physician's oppinion and have a repeat test done. Regardless of the situation, prayer can only help. I'll say a prayer for you and your situation, for whomever is the woman going through this stressful time. The fact that you mentioned prayer is the only reason I am discussing it here like this. If you do have faith and regularly pray then you already know that in your weakness He is strong. Rely on that no matter what happens. I know this sounds callus and "overly religious". I am sorry for that, it's not coming across well. If you want to talk/write about it, feel free to e-mail me. I am familiar with this situation so if there is anything I can do to help, I will. Stay strong and postitive as you can. You're not alone in this or anything else.

Doctors have been known to be wrong. As they are humans and are capable of making mistakes. However, in this situation, they could be very correct. I would defiantly pray about your situation. Take it easy and try to relax and not worry. God is certainly capable of "saving" this pregnancy. Just have faith and believe that he (God) has the power to perform a miracle.
Either way, if it happens or doesn't happen. Always keep your faith in God, pray and know that everything happens for a reason. We don't always have the answers but God does. Everything happens in his time. Best wishes for you and your baby.

The placenta was blocking my baby's heartbeat. They got the ultra sound out to make sure the baby was there. She was and she had a heartbeat even though we never heard till about 4 months. Stay positive. Relax too, dont worry yourself too much. Yes, I believe in miracles.

I believe in miracles, but I also believe in reality. You can always pray, but you have to be willing to accept the reality as well. If this is happening to you...I'm very sorry for your situation and I'll pray for the best as well.

If you believe in God, and you pray, and the situation turns around, then yes, it was God's work!

However, if you believe in God and pray everyday, but your baby dies, it was just God's plan for you and that baby.

However, I don't think any amount of praying is going to help your situation.

A fool prays for miracles, a wiseman prays for stability.

I always hope for the best which can be bad at times, but it leaves the door open for miracles. Either way, best of luck to you :)

Not only would I pray, but I'd also get a second opinion. Hope everything turns out ok!

Sometimes the baby is positioned in such a way that the heartbeat can't be found.

Praying will not help.
Being calm might.
Trying to stay healthy and calm yourself is very important. Your health is everything now. If you haev the baby you will have it. If you don't you don't. You make sure to take care of yourself. Don't make yourself crazy. It'll only make you hurt more. That's bad. Stay calm and make good decisions.
