He is alive, well, but in serious trouble. He's been charged with bounty hunting which is a crime in Mexico because he went into mexico to get a rapist. And now he is being tried for that, and could end up in a mexican prison over it.
However they did let him out on bail while the trial pends, and he is back in hawaii bounty hunting in the mean time. Many people are sending letters, signing petitions, and donating money to his legal defense to try to help. His fans are pretty worried about him.

Are you sure your friend's not thinking of Crocodile Hunter? He died last year, not from a heart attack, but when a stingray pierced him in the heart. Hunter, heart, I can see where your friend might've been confused.

I think your friend got different news reports confused; his FIRST WIFE JORGA, died of a heart attack after 34 years of marriage.

No he is not dead, he did not even have a heart attack, he did lose one daughter in car crash the same day he got married to Beth.
You could have easily googled that one yourself, really.

no, it's not true. but he was indicted. one of the thugs he was capturing was in Mexico. Dog brought him back to the US but bounty hunting is illegal in Mexico. He has to answer to charges, etc by the Mexican government.
