i groom my shihtzu fluffs with a wire brush and it takes about 40 minutes

I don't know about a shihtzu, but it takes me about an hour in the forest with my Toyota, to groom it .
Just kidding!

Depends, what are you doing? Brushing? Bathing? Clipping?

Owners should spend at least 15-20 minutes per day brushing out a shih-tzu. A professional groom can take several hours.
