first off, fish REEK its expensive to get a good tak to slow the smell (100$ for a begenner tank so the smell is less with a filter) i used to have 2 tanks in my room, and the entire house stunk, my mom couldnt take it, fish are very dirty unless theyre tropical, and most tropical fish are expensive on theyre own, like 10$-50$ a fish what cost the most is rocks plants, and filters, and maintaining a filtr isnt cheep either

any rodent smels a lot, except for a few, hampsters actually realy stink. a dog dosnt stink, but im suspecting you want a small pet...cat stink because of liter, birds smell cause of poop, and most bigger rodents (gunnea pigs, ferrets, hampsters, and rats) because of they poop a lot.

gerbils are actualy proven to smell very little i have two in my room, and my dor is alwatys shut, and it never smells in here...and i have 2! if you have two of any other rodent, your entie house would smell..

my mom has asthmaand she dosnt smellit so thats saying somthing. gerbils dont ost much, and the best thing to put them in are fish tanks cause they cant hurt their tails, or eat the bars, if you go to a pets unlimited or like pet store and buy a tank, with nothing it it for fish (thats what costs), just the glass tank you can get a pretty big one for 25$ 5$ if its second hand, while a lizard of anytype is 200$ for a starter kit, and the food for the crickets smells somthin awful

the only thing is gerbilshave allergies to a lot of the smelly beddings so they have low oder/dust bedding anyway so less smell,

in my opinion gerbils rock. but as a tip if you get one use the aspen or carefresh beddin, they are allergic to anything else...

goodluck

The Chinchilla is the best, because they don't stink up your house or room ! They are easy to care for, just clean the cage once a week because any pee can have a smell over time ! And he needs a clean cage, during the week you can vacuum out the poo poo in his cage, it is dry and easy to vacuum up !! Also they don't get fleas and they don't need to have any shots or anything!! If you take good care of them and feed them correctly they live for a very long time too ! They are fun to watch when you give them their dust bath, they roll around in the dust and they love it ! They never need a real bath it would male them sick ! Be sure to read about how to care for them if you get one! because they can't live in high temp. rooms! were it is too hot for them !! so you would need air condt. in your home for them when it's too hot for them !! They can ride a wheel just like a hamster but bigger size one, although mine had one he finally broke it ! he rode it so much and gained weight i guess and got to big! so it broke and even broke one of the wires on his cage !! which i had to fix. If they get loose from the cage you will have a hard time finding them! The are real good hiders!! trust me!! I thank hamsters and mostly rabbits stink after a few days !! I had rabbits before and there cute but they really smell up the cage before time to clean it!!! And so does a Guinea pig !!

you dont NEED a pet. i would not recommend getting one if all you are looking for is an easy, portable 'pocket' pet. all pets smell occasionally and all pets need proper care. also, all pets cost quite a bit of money. get a pet when you really can love and take care of one. by the way doNOT get a parakeet. they need lots of attention and love. they also cost quite a bit for the cage. and if you are looking for a low smell pet that is not the way to go. well they aren't very smelly and actually arent hard to take care of, but you wuold have to clean the cage at LEAST every other day, and you dont seem the type of person willing to do that. also i would not recommend a rodent. their cages are harder to clean even though you dont have to clean them as often. they need lots of attention as well sorry i just cant find a pet that would suit you except maybe an online pet??

Cats are practically odour free if you are diligent about keeping the cat litter box clean. In my experience hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs etc. have little odour as well, but their cages can smell a bit, same thing with reptiles, fish and birds - again it's a matter of how clean you keep their surroundings.

Not only is the equipment for proper care of a chameleon expensive, but they're pretty hard to care for, and if they fall ill, that's a huge expense in itself.

Hm, non-stink animal, huh? Fish, a tarantula, & frogs are what come to mind.

Rabbits. I have one and he doesn't smell at ALL. He is truly a special thing. You just have to make sure to clean the cage. Any animal will "stink" if you don't keep it clean. Think positive.

all of the animals have somekind of odor, but not all of them stink, u can get birds, if u make sure to clean their cage every day, fish, if u keep their tank clean, dogs, if u shower them often and don't keep them tied up, and have an specific place for then to "go" and keep it clean, cats, if you clean their litter box often, hell, any animal can be non stink if you keep them clean, groomed and on a nice fresh clean space.... now, if u are gonna get a skunk... that's a different story ha ha ha

Hamsters, rabbits and the like can be stinky. Every animal that poops can be stinky. You just have to clean it up regularly. I would suggest fish, or a turtle.
