Lifting the trade embargo would be the first good thing Bush has done in office. I haven't heard these rumors, but it would only lead to good things. The whole reason for the trade embargo was to force Cuba towards democracy (seriously, who are we to tell a nation what type of government is the best). After forty-plus years, there has still been no change in Cuba's government.
With a not-so-spectacular economy in the United States, as well as Cuba, lifting the embargo would only lead to better futures for both countries.
Why deny a good customer just because of their beliefs? This embargo came during the peak of Communism and the Cold War. It's time for this nation to mature and lift the embargo.
Now hopefully Bush is smart enough to realize this...

Don't bet the farm on it. But now that I think about it might have some merit. I remember years ago some political pundit said that the embargo would be lifted in the second term of a Republican administration. The people to watch are the Miami Cubans, if they signal the okay,it;s a done deal.

Maybe he understands that, were we to travel to Cuba, and trade with Cuba, the people in Cuba would taste freedom and rid themselves of their fascist government.

The way China is heading. The way the Soviet Union collapsed from within.

I don't know, but I wouldn't doubt anything this "President" would do. I Just can't belive he was re-elected, ofcourse, he stole the elections twice. He's the worst thing that could've happen to this country. Tremendous poverty, problems allover the world like never before, and gas prices, don't even mention it. Anyways, sorry I didn't answer your question, but I figure I can take my frustration of how bad this guy is driving this country to ruins, and he's not being impeached.

Unlikely. It would be the first time Bush did anything that showed intelligence and political courage.
