I know what the @ sign means. I want to know what internet site (example: yahoo, msn, comcast) is nicknamed "the smiley face"?

it sounds like a foney email address to me. Kinda like when you ask a girl for her number and she gives you one to a deli :)

that's not a smiley face. i am drawing a complete blank at the name of it at the moment. but it means "AT"

It's called "at cost" sign.
It's old shorthand for an "a" surrounded by a "C"
