Will the Minneota Vikings have a winning record this year?

Last year they were 6-10 and had many injuries to the team...
Not to mention they were going through a coaching change...

Positives:

This year they had a really good draft adding some playmakers to the offense in Adrian Peterson, Sidney Rice & Andre Allison...

On defense they added a good pass rushing DE is Brian Robinson who had the 2nd best 40 time for a d-lineman & Chris McCauley who was rated as a 1st round cornerback last year

In free agency they added Visante Shiancoe TE and Bobby Wade WR

Negatives:

Lost Fred Smoot (but he didn't fit in their new Cover 2 defense)

Lost Jermaine Wiggins (his lack of speed put no pressure on the seam)

Have a very tough schedule this year... Playing the NFC EAST & the AFC WEST

---

So what do you guys think?

Hey Andy, you know nothing. The Packers are a joke. Their quarterback is about 40 and he throws way to many interceptions. He is just staying in the league to break the career passing Td's record.

I believe the Vikings will make the playoffs at a record of 9-7. The Bears are declining, and the Lions/Packers are just awful.

Go Vikes Go!!

The Vikings will hover around the same record as last year.

- Tavarus Jackson at qb is a bit shaky at this point to say the least
- putting Sidney Rice as a positive is a bit shaky, do you remember Troy Williamson 3 years ago. drafted sixth and was never close to that
- Bobby Wade is not a good player, being a Bears fan I remember him being nothing special
- That having been said, I believe that the coaching is good, however they are the third best team in their division

1st of all, to the guy who said our QB is old..your a f*cking idiot. He was drafted LAST YEAR!!!!

Losing Smoot and Wiggins is no big deal. Neither thrived last year.

The schedule is bullsh!t. Teams with bad records get the hard schedules while teams with the winning records get the easy ones? That's crap.

Peterson isn't "always" hurt. he's going to do fine. He was looked at by a bunch of doctors before the draft, and they all said he's 90 percent healthy.

I see the Vikings improving a bit from last year, but not enough for a playoff spot. 9-7 at best, miss playoffs.

Oooh and to the fan a few posts above..Williamson was picked at 7..not 6. Do your homework.

I bleed purple.
I hope the young receivers run hard, unlike Marcus Robinson. I think the defense will be stout. Childress needs to coach, not micro-manage the offense. And hopfully they open the playbook past page 6.
I do think they will finish with a better record this year, even a chance at the division. Because Chicago will only get worse from here on. They won't duplicate last year. The Lions are the Lions and Green Bay sucks.

Nope, thier division is getting better, they can't beat the Bears and now they have to stop Roy Williams AND Calvin Johnson with no Smoot? Not gonna happen. They'll beat the pack though, but the AFC East is to powerful, specially with the phenominal drafts every team in that division had. They will probly do ok, maybe even go 6-10 again, but at the best, i say a .500, and thats if they are lucky.

I believe they've a gorgeous well danger within the close long run. They have the high-quality speeding recreation within the NFL, AP of path. They have the high-quality speeding safeguard within the league. They have Bernard Berrian and Rice for passing, and their safeguard is beautiful robust within the passing segment (Winfield and Sharper.) Also, Greenway and Henderson are beautiful robust linebackers. The most effective factor preserving them again from a terrific bowl is THE QUARTERBACK!!! JACKSON ABSOLUTELY SUCKS! He should be changed. If the Vikings had a truly quarterback, like part of the opposite groups within the NFL, they might mainly make the Super Bowl. (They do have J.D. Booty, despite the fact that, and if he will get proficient good he might be well.)

Probably not. The passing game has major problems, and they have a hard schedule.

As a Viking fan, I'll say 7-9, maybe 8-8, but not a winning record.

Still problems at QB and in pass D. Probably 6-10 maybe 7-9 at best

Unfortunately I don't see them having a winning record this year. Possibly 7-9 but I can't see them doing 8-8 or better. I'd love to see them take NFC North but that's wishful thinking and most likely not going to happen.

Plus, Peterson gets hurt a lot and the QB is kinda old.
