Ok, here is what has always been my modus operandi on Mother's Day.
Let's make note of one thing...it's Mother's "DAY"...
not Mother's Brunch, or Mother's Dinner, or just some flowers....
it's her DAY...the whole enchilada.
It's your MOTHER...what part of her day did she spend taking care of and worrying about YOU? Easy answer...24/7.
So, the day belongs to Mom....
Breakfast in Bed.
Her Favorite Flowers.
Make a nice lunch for her.
Spend the afternoon taking her somewhere that she will enjoy.
You will have made reservations at a nice restaurant for her special Mother's Day dinner.
After which, you will take her home, let her enjoy taking a nice, long, hot, relaxing, leisurly bath.
Sure, go ahead turn on the TV...but, let her watch whatever she wants.
At some point during her special day that you're treating her to...just try to work in the words..."I Love you Mom!".
Give her a Mother's Day to remember...
after all, she's the only mother you'll ever have.
And, it's not too early to say to all you mom's out there:
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

You could get her a bunch of little things such as lip gloss, candy, a book, a movie or CD and put them in a gift basket for her. That way it is semi-homemade without a lot of work:)

Along with any gift you buy her, write her a letter telling her how special she is, how much you admire her, and mostly how much you appreciate all that she does for you. I guarantee you it will be the best gift she will ever get.

For my mum, I'm leaning towards a bottle of vinegar and the corpses of 987 gerbils I'Ve secretly been stealing from the trash bin outside Petsmart all year.

I'm thinking of getting my mommy something she can really use, since she's allergic to most perfumes and jewelry, and really doesn't have room in her house for "stuff". So, it's a Culver's card this year.
She's gotta eat.

No, I dont have any good ideas for Mother's Day and I dont think I want any. My Mother is a very hard to please person, and she wants too much expensive crap.
