On a complete whim, I asked my son to show me his tattoo. He had one done about 4 years ago and knew I would hate it (he's 25 now, so it's not like I could have told him no) so he tries to keep it covered up when he comes over so I don't pick on him about it.

Well, he's been on some big weight lifting thing. He was on a special diet and lost TOO much weight in my opinion, but he and one of his friends came by, and I asked to see his tattoo because I wanted to see what that much weight loss would do to it. I didn't know that JUST the day before, he had gotten another one! This one was on his chest.

He said 'What tattoo?' and I took a chance and said 'Your NEW one.' He about died. I made him lift his shirt and show me, and he was pretty embarrassed at being caught at his age. He thought I was psychic or something...so of course, I played it up and told him it was those 'mom' eyes that see everything, lol!

Just a little disclaimer; No, I'm not one of those mom's who FREAKS because he got a tattoo at age 21. I would prefer he not get them, but he's a big boy.

I was in the car with my son and his girl friend. a song came on the radio that I just happen to know so I said my sons name. Of course they both looked at me. I did the only logical thing I could think of, I lip synced the words to them complete with fancy arm and hand movements. He buried his head in his arms. Now I dont know why I do things like that, Im not mean, Im not crazy...well maybe I am crazy. Anyway he was embarrassed. This was quite awhile ago and I think he's forgiven me by now......I think....I hope so!

When my 10 year old step son licked his plate clean after finishing his dinner, I narrowed my eyes and shook my head no. He stopped. But I could see he was a little embarassed. His face turned a little red. But I smiled at him afterwards, approvingly. I don't think his dad and brother noticed though, which is good. Their faces were still down....eating!

The four of us were on a very crowded metro and I hugged my 15 year old step son. He just about had a fit! There were cutie girls sitting nearby!

Gave teenager a "spit bath" in front of his friends at a school function. I couldn't bear the thought of him embarrassing himself walking around with a little bit of a milk moustache. LOL.

My husband and I were working in the front yard when a car came by 'bumping' some song.

We stopped what we were doing and started dancing.

um...the kids were mortified!

the boys in the car honked...I guess they were impressed with our moves...and yes our older daughter went to high school with them......lol.

Saturday. She was at a track meet. She spotted us in the stands, which were not full. Her dad and I did the wave. She kept looking at her friend and pretending she did not see us. It was great!!!!
