I'm moving and I'm taking my mini refrigerator with me, and I'm planning on laying it on its side for the ride home because that's the only way it will fit in my car. my friend told me if i do this it won't work right after because you're not supposed to store it on its side. How true is what he told me?

It is not the best way to transport it. make sure you leave it in the proper upright position for a few hours after the trip before plugging it in. The freon and the oil in the compressor need to get back to the bottom .

he is right,, do not lay it down for transport!! some people say certain fridges can work again if left standing over night before plugging back in,, I never take the chance and keep them up right all the way!! why not just sell it and get another at the new place??
