Rigged elections.
Why do you suppose the people are rioting.

It's called "Self-preseration." The left pushes the limits of acceptability to the point of perversion and then the right takes over and swings the pendulum back passed center to the point of restriction.
As for France and Canada, I can only imagine (unsubstantiated) that the people are fed up with (in France) the annual rioting by the lawless youth from foreign lands and government corruption. Chirac thought the U.S. hysterically funny that people were so upset about Clinton's affair with an intern -- Chirac publically, has a mistress.
And Canada? My hunch would be a slight knee jerk response to excessive government and taxes, brought about by the numerous social program that appear to all be failing. They're coming to the realization that Utopia doesn't exist and MUST be purchased.

This "neocon" and them vs the rest of the world is nonsense.
People have only 2 choices ...or at least a very limited number of choices. Often what happens is that the more liberal candidate will be "forced" towards greater and greater extremism on the left. This begins to frighten people. They vote the safe candidate and traditional positions.
I believe America will do the same despite a large number of people being thoroughly disgusted with Bush (for at least a couple of very good reasons - especially his cabinet appointees and his advisors - it does cause one to wonder).
People, so-called liberals and so-called conservatives, are still first and foremost concerned with safety and security for their families, the economy and opportunities for themselves and their children and - the budget. If a candidate can't address those issues to the satisfaction of the electorate - he/she just isn't going to get elected.

In this day and age, NEOCON, is widely know to be code for JEW.
Neither of which are theses.
However, if your intent is to question the shift to conservatives in the electorate, its because their socialist society's are sinking under their own weight.

Paronoia on a global scale. People are scared for the future whether they are conservative and scared of terrorists or greens and scared of global environmental catastophe.
Everyone is scared in some way or another. But it seems more people are scared of the largly exagerated threat of terrorist attack than of the impending environmental disaster so they let the cons in who promise to protect them in exchange for a few small civil liberties and human rights being ignored or just removed completely.
Anyone read 1984? dont these times of perpetual "war", unseen enemies and personal freedoms being eroded, suspicion of friends and nieghbours ring a bell?

I think you should convert immediately. It will free you from guilt, and they won't saw your head off.
And don't worry about the French. They're still controlled by the Neo-Coms. It's just that they'd like a financial future for their children and a chance to grow and develop, rather than surrender to communism and its ally, Islamo-fascism.
Have fun. Me, I'm headed to re-education camp after 2008!

The European and Canadian brand of 'Conservatism' is a long, long way away from US 'Neo-Conservatism', believe me.
Sarkozy is far from a 'neocon, as you will see soon enough.

Neocon Jews have a monopoly on the entire planet (except for the Arab oil, which they are using the U.S. troops to steal it).
