Yes, a lot of today's superstars were drafted in 96. It is probably the most talented and deepest draft to date. No disrespect to the 84 draft (Mike, Chuck, Stockton and the Dream) but after those 4 you basically have all role players. And then there is the 03 draft (dwade, bron, melo, bosh, jhoward, Barbosa, TJ Ford) which was also a good class!

yeah, i think so. they may not have the greatest of players but they certainly have very good players who could also be elected in the hall of fame like the batch of 1984(even though they haven't been officially elected).
I think this batch have plenty of very good players, that's why even if the 1984 batch have legends, they are outnumbered. I'll try to list the players who i think have done something/proven something and have been productive/effective in their NBA careers:
Kobe Bryant
Allen Iverson
Steve Nash
Ray Allen
Jermaine O'neal
Marcus Camby
Shareef Abdur-Rahim
Stephon Marbury
Antoine Walker
Peja Stojakovic
Zydrunas Ilgauskas
Derek Fisher
Jerome Williams
Eric Dampier
I think these players could already form a very good team.

1983 draft I think was better. Jordan, Olajuwon, Stockton, Barkley, Sam Perkins and all those guys (with the exception of Sam Bowie a draft fluke). The mere mention of those names is like mentioning greatness. But yeah, I think the 1996 draft class have produced great players as well with Iverson, Kobe, Jermaine O' Neil (youngest in the draft class as opposed to popular notion that Kobe was the youngest.) Ray Allen and Shareef Abdur-Rahim. These are FUTURE hall of famers but for now let it be said that the 1983 draft class have produced the players that today's young players look up to.
