Normal march of a soldier (or anybody doing a normal pace march) is 4 kilometers per hour.. At normal pace, there is an average distance of 80 cms between foosteps, if te march is undisturbed,....so 1 million centimeters= 1 kilometer divided by 80 equal 8,000 foot steps------

It depends on how long your pace is. Measure out a length of at least 10 meters. 50 meters would be better. Walk the distance using your normal stride, counting the steps. Multiply by 100 if you go 10 meters, or by 20 if you go 50 meters.
