Yes I change lanes without signalling, but with passengers I usually do signal, and I try to signal, its just hard to remember for lane changes, and I only dont signal on the thruway, if I am passing someone on a regular road, or turning I always signal!

all the time, except in rare occasions when i have to switch quickly into an exit and there's no car in that lane. I think it's rude to not turn on the signal lights unless it's a safety issue.

Yes. I'm a bit obsessive about the turn signals. It used to drive my husband nuts that I would use them in parking lots and out in the middle of nowhere with no other cars around.

this is my first time answering your questions:

where i live if you indicate left to turn left everyone bunches up and refuses you the space to change lanes.

so the plot is to indicate right and then switch lanes to the left - thus catching people unawares

That is my pet peeve. I ALWAYS use my signal when changing lanes or turning.

Yes...all the time. I used to practice insurance defense law, which mean that insurance companies would hire us to defend their policy holders.

When you do that type of law, you can see what happens when people make the simplest mistakes. That's why I try to be careful and have lots of insurance as well.
