You mean why do Americans love Princess Diana so much? Because even though she's dead, I definitely still love her very much. Diana had a special charismatic quality about her that drew you in, her eyes penetrated into your soul and you felt like she really understood you. She was a real woman, she many of the problems that we all do, just on a larger scale. She died at the age of 36 and was taken from her two darling boys who she loved more than life itself. We loved and love her still today because she wasn't just a British Princess but a symbol of hope and beauty to people all over the world, spreading her love and compassion.

Simply put she was an angel and an ideal princess in many ways. Why is that Americans must be uber patrotic and not like any other world leaders?

Not all world leaders are evil dictators with no heart. There's some good natured people in high places outside of the US.

Probably because of the fairy-tale image...well, in the beginning. I really don't feel anything for her....I'm sorry she passed away and had such a wretched marriage, but she did travel, wear designer clothes, etc......things millions of people can only dream about. I wish this whole Princess Diana thing would just end though...it's so out of hand....plus, let her rest in peace.

I actually felt sorry for her b/c of the stupid pre-arranged loveless marriage. I would've told Charles to have an asexual experience. I'd rather be a happy pauper than a sad princess.

Members of the mental health mill coined the phrase "recreational mourning" to describe what many Americans were doing after she died.

Many Americans are so busy being lazy, they live their lives within the confines of their cable TV clicker.
