Are we talking about fruit here babe?
Yes I have a problem with imperfect fruit, bruises and holes bother me.
When I see a little hole I assume there is a wormy inside and I get scared.

This isn't superficial, it's just life.

I don't consider myself superficial and I always look for the most perfect fruit, vegetables, canned goods and boxed food without dents, etc.!

Hmm.
I dislike imperfections on fruit.
Because it looks. So wrong.
I believe that fruits, vegetables, everything in nature was once perfect. I mean. Trees are perfect ; you can solve their branches using math and algebra, so I believe that fruits were once perfect until something screwed it up.
Anyhoo.
I think perfect looking fruit tastes better.
Because you obviously satisfy the need for perfection.

Yes. I had some bananas the other day and they were all bruised. The same thing with apples I don't like it if they get or are mushy when they are supposed to be crispy!
No they are not superficial.

They do bother me! My mom was always like "Just cut it off!! (the bad parts)". But I am not a farmers daughter, so I expect my fruit to be beautiful. All I care about is its outer beauty!

Just the bruises or places where bugs have invaded the fruit.

I am sorry to say that I am a perfectionist when it comes to fruit. One bruise and back on the shelf it goes. It sickens me that I am that anal but ................ I heart fruit and must demand the very best

Fruit is a piece of nature. Nothing in nature is perfect.
