My parents just told me about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. I don't get it. Why would they do something like this? Are they going to attack my town next? Are they going to invade the USA and the 48 states? What do I have to do? Does this mean war? I am so very confused. Why aren't they telling us more? How come we didn't know more about this so we could stop it, or did Roosevelt really know all about it but didn't stop it because he wanted to enter the war that's been so awful for the people of Europe? Am I going to be drafted? Will I have to die? Why can't people just live in peace?
