Democrats are always criticizing the government because the President is presently a Republican. Thus, people are perceiving them as anti-Americans.

The democrats have their problems but so does the other side.

Not entirely, some in Washington are but you can't blame the whole group because of some bad apples.

There are some democrats i know that are patriotic but most hippies happen to be democrats or commies. so the answer is no.
