make people not jealous of me....without changing who i am. I know that sounds really conceited but i'm not, its just people at school have started some really nasty rumours about me that are really far from the truth and i have never done anything to them...people who i thought were my friends too...i still love them to death but they are telling everyone how much they hate me and then coming up to my face? is there a way to stop this? im trying the "kill them with kindness" approach right now...it doesnt seem to be working.

Hey Midnigh, This is almost an impossible mission you have choosen for yourself because these people who are also your friends are jealous because they are not happy with their own lives and want to live yours cause for whatever reason they feel your life is better than theirs...So the only way you can stop the jealousy is for you to give them a life and as I said not your mission but theirs ...I understand this completely and of course this is only my opinion...You can continue to "kill them with kindness" because this is probably your nature to begin with but it will grow old for you and you'll soon stop and either move on with other friends or just ignore the things you can't control and concentrate on the possitive part of your relationship with them and wait for them to grow up a bit...good luck....hope I gave some food for thought and helped you a bit....peace

The same thing happend to me a while ago. I am 15 now (9th grade) and 2 years ago in 7th grade people started making up rumors that i gave head. in 7TH grade!!! crazy! at first it reallly made me upset but then i realized if i dont react to what they are saying, then they will stop. It took a while but they eventually moved on to someone else and left me alone. Kids are so mean and need to shut there mouths. good luck.

don't let people make you change who you are. Stick to your guns and roll with the punches.
Jealously is ugly and people get jealous. Don't pretend to be something your not, be true to yourself.
If your friends are back stabbing you... there not friends'
Friends are a dime a dozen when your young, be upfront and don't be a push over or you will get trampled on.
Good luck and be true to yourself and bad luck to the others that are jealous of you

What kind of things are they saying about you? If your "friends" can be that rude and and come around you and act nice they are low, and you don't deserve them. Next time they come up to you blow 'em off and act like you got something else going on and that it's way more important than they are. Soon they'll realize what they are missing when you aren't around.
You don't know what you have until it's gone.
If you love something let it go, if it was ment to be it'll come back, if it doesn't it was never ment to happen.

Your better off without these so called friends. They sound like real nasty kids to spread rumors about you that are not true. I'm sure you can make more friends in school who will not spread rumors and be your good friends. I would dis these so called friends.

Okay well, getting new friends isn't easy and if the rumors are acctully going around about you then, you popular or your a freak. Tell them to stop being rude and to stop the rumors, stop hanging with them for a while and, if they are really your friends they will miss you and come back.

Make new friends.
Change schools.
Your "friends", suck. If they were your friends they wouldn't talk about you. Killing with kindness doesn't seem to work. Why are they jealous of you? Is it because your smart, pretty, nice (etc.) You're too good for them to be saying things like that.
They don't seem like friends.

Why not make new friends that make you feel better? Friends are suppose to make you happy all the time no matter who you are. I know you love ypur friends but they're not even your friends. If they were, they would stop making rumors about you and they would stand up for you!

Try being a little more down to earth. Showering them with kindness to them seems like pity to them. It says hey im better then you and i feel sorry for you so ill be nice :P

Sounds like school doesn't keep you and your friends busy with school. School should come first. Friends will have to come second. If they are true friends. They will stick around.
If they put gossip and games before school. You know... you are in trouble... hanging with them.
good luck
