"The largest settlement of these Greeks was at Mycenae in the northern Peloponnesus.
The Mycenaeans learned a great deal from the Minoans on Crete, especially shipbuilding.
The Minoans did not build large temples to house gods and goddesses. They were content to receive offerings outdoors or in mountain shrines.
The precious metals used to bury the rulers came from the tribute that Mycenae levied on the towns under its control and from pirate raids launched against other people od the eastern Mediterranean.
Most Minoans resented the foreign presence , and the Greeks found it incresingly difficult to govern."

you got answered quite well below, but im just gonna add (though i cant remember if it is added there or not) that they were beleived to be warlike because of the massive walls of fortifications they had. the fortifications were much much larger than what was really needed to protect them against battle though so they may have been for prestige as well. the comparison with the minoan society (not the minoan-mycenean society btw) is that the minoan society had no fortifications pretty much and so the mycenaens were considered more warlike.

1.Mainland Greece
2.Some gods, written language
3.Spoken language, social system, architecture
4.Not in many ways. Similar technology, but that's about it.
5.Traditionally, it's ascribed to the "sea peoples" invasion. Basically, systems collapse with piracy being a main cause.
