And i have to change my name on the social security card. Does that mean that i have to change also my name on the bills, checks, driver's license?
And also i have two health insurances, one with my maiden name and one with my married name, because it's under my husband's company. Do i have to change the name on those too??
I'm kind of confused!!

Actually you do not have to change your name at all if you do not want to. Your legal name is the name that you put on your driver's license. Many women, including myself, are opting to retain their maiden name. My Driver's license, social security cards, and checks are all in my maiden name and is perfectly legal. The choice is yours.

If you are going by your husband's last name, then you should change everything.

You can keep your maiden name and leave everything alone if you wish. No law says you have to take your husband's name.

You legally do not need to change your name on anything. Married women are free to keep their maiden name. If however you change it on one legal document it is best to change it on them all
