What I would ask you to do is for the entire month of June, not buy gasoline from any Exxon/Mobile gas station.
One day as in the May 15th boycott is not enough to make an impression, but a month is.
Between now and mid June we can figure out who the lucky winner for July will be.
I realize this will mean driving all the way around the corner to buy your gas at the Shell station, but if it gets the oil companies attention it will be worth it.
I would also ask that you enlist as many participants as possible, e-mail every one you know and ask them to do the same. If you have a Myspace or any other means to get the word out ,please do.
Even if you are sceptical, please participate.

So, will you help?

I got an e-mail a while ago proposing this plan instead of the "one day, all gas" one. This plan is likely to be more effective, and would hurt us consumers less. Not buying Exxon/Mobil is easy for me, as the nearest stations are Gulf and Irving.

This is an email chain letter scam that's been sent around for years.

Just like all the rest of the email crud you get from ignorant 'friends', it's an annoying lie.

If it was going to work it would have in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, etc. etc. and every year since then - as it has made the rounds every year.

The white people are blathering on about global warming. Meanwhile the Chinese are buying up every oil field on the frickin' planet. We have been enslaved to the Arabs for the past 40 years; now we're going to be kissing up to China for oil.

Sure I only go to shell anyways. It is a great idea since something needs to be done but I have gotten to the point that I dont think they care what we say cause we need gas to get to and from point A and B.

China controls fuel prices. They are demanding so much more than what the US demands. What America does not use, China will gladly consume. An American boycott will do nothing but inconvenience the boycotters. Fuel is international, not national.

Americans have no control on fuel prices. Don't kid yourself.

I never use Exxon pumps. Mohawk/Husky only. Canadian oil = Canadian fuel.
