I knew a guy that was always called Junior. After hearing it over and over it sounds like a normal name. His real name was Woodrow and his son was called Woody.

Don't mean to offend you but it is kinda like naming a dog 'doggie'. It sounds like you just run out of names or didn't care enough to be creative when naming your child. Don't forget that your little boy will be stuck with this name for the rest of his life. It may sound cute when he's 4 but nobody will take a 48 year old 'Junior' seriously...

I think it's a cute nick name, but i think he needs a strong name to back it up. I couldn't image a 30 somethin year old named Junior. :).

Sorry, I don't like it either.
Kids will make fun of it and teachers and other adults will always ask him what his "real" name is. Everyone will assume that "Junior" means he's named after his dad, and assume that his real name is whatever his dad's name is.
Try not to give your kid a name that will cause him so many hassles later in life.
