What type of oil is used in crankcase?

4 stroke motor oil.
20w/50 in the summer
10w/40 in the winter

What model ATC? If it's a two stroke - then use two stroke gear oil from Honda, Torco, Golden Spectro, Maxima, etc.

If it's a four stroke, then use Four Stroke gear oil from these same companies.

20/50 is fine year around, unless you ride in below-zero temps.

Most automotive oils will cause the clutch to slip, so it's not recommended.
