It's a secret. If I told you in advance, you might be able to find a way to make it come true. I want you to make it come true instantly, the minute I request it. That will make me believe in your magic. All I really want is to be able to believe in your magic. I might ask for something simple, like "take this dandelion and turn it into a marigold." But if I told you that in advance, you might have a marigold hidden in your pocket, and use sleight of hand. How can I believe if I always have to wonder if you used sleight of hand? By keeping my request a secret I can be a true believer. What possible wish could be greater than that?
