No one really knows where it has gone. All these people will try to tell you where they think it is, but they really have no clue. The truth is, it has been gone for so long that it is lost and baring some great cosmic event, we will never find it again.

It's usually not a good idea to end a sentence with a preposition because of exactly the sort of ambiguity pointed out in your question. It includes: "at", "to", "about", etc.

I blew it up...it was a total accident though. It got too close to my Black Cats and boom, it went away. Sorry.
