Trivium.
Trivium is a metalcore band with three cd's out (Ember to Inferno, Ascendancy, and The Crusade). The first two are screamo, and purely metalcore goodness, if that's the kind of music you enjoy. The latter of the three is purely singing and guitar work (most of which is insanely good). The focus for Trivium has always been the incredible guitar solo's heard throughout the music, and nothing shows off this young band's talent more than the title track on The Crusade. An 8 minute long instrumental filled with the most insane and brutal riffs. Always entertaining.
Ascendancy boasts songs such as Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr and Like Light to Flies, both which show the extreme talented screaming as demonstrated by Matt Heafy, who not only provides the majority of vocals, but plays guitar as well. This CD has often been criticized as holding the same format of songs as many other metalcore albums, but the pure emotion that can be heard from Heafy's raspy screams will put the fear of God into anyone, and his sweet singing voice can force it away again.
The bands first album, Ember to Inferno, is a thrashier, less clean recorded album, showing off again the impressive guitar work the band is most known for, and Heafy displays a gutteral growl. Featured songs include the title track, Ember to Inferno and When All Light Dies. Occurring at the beginning, middle and end of the album are instrumentals that slow the pace down, and build the album up. An explosion of chaotic goodness is sure to follow.
Trivium is an excellent choice if you like metalcore bands with that have been heavily influenced by bands such as Metallica. If you love guitarwork and raspy vocals, Trivium is definitely the way to go.

My favorite band is Blondie because I think they are amazing. I LOVE every single one of their songs and that is rare. Their lyrics are genius, their music is wonderful, and they are a pretty good looking bunch!
