Since you also asked about the family relations, I'll answer that part of your question.
Medusa had five sisters. Two other Gorgons, and three Graeae (Old Hags).
They were all daughters of a pair of monstrous sea gods named Phorcys and Ceto.
The grandparents of Medusa were Pontus (the Sea) and Gaea (the Earth).

Decapitated Horror?
She was a mortal transformed by a Goddess for making love in her temple with Posiedon. Persues, Zeus's son, and Hercules great great grandfather on his mother's side. Perseus decapitated her and then used her head to defeat a monster about to eat Andromedea.
Clash of the Titans is an excellent film, but it combines many other myths and dramatizes the story a lot.

Just looked it up & there is no such thing about it in the bible. How ever,it is in mythology.Watch the movie of Jason and the Argonauts and you you will see a gorgon(Madussa). She's the ugly snake hair woman that changes men into stone if they look into her eyes.Look it up on online mythology or on the online dictionery. The only thing in the bible about something like that is David holding the severed head of Goliath.Gorgons are not in the bible.
