I am the co-owner of a shop in Oregon. A customer okay-ed the repairs and maintenance on her vehicle. When time came to pay, she said that she needed to run to the bank to get money to pay bill... we were busy so manager let her take her car to do so...(she was a mother of a friend, so we thought it would be alright..stupid, I know now!!!) she takes off and it's been three months since. we put a mechanic's lien on her car, but she refuses to give us the vehicle. What can we do to get the car in our possesion(besides hiring an expensive repo guy? the car isn't worth that much..)???

Try asking the local PD, they usually know where the law lies on repo.
