No. If your not on birth control then its probibly just your body going through changes. Some people at certain ages thiers either get lighter, and shorter, or heavier.. I know mine I used to get mine really heavy, and when I turned around 21 they started lightening up a little, and staying at a more steady amount of days.. My doctor said its normal. If your concerned about it go to a doctor, and discuss it with them. Im sure its probibly just normal body changes, but its always good to know for sure because a lot of things can cause it.. like too much stress, a lot less stress, more sexual activity, etc. all kinds of things that can cause it to change. Mostly normal stuff, but some other things too.. It dont mean your infertile though.. I know a couple people who not only had short light periods like that, but also only got thier period once every other month, or every other couple months, and it was normal for them.

This may be OK, if you do not feel sick of tired or unwell.
But check your weight, it must be close to weight indicated per Body-Mass- Index (http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/bmi.htm).
The cycle is closely associated with your body fat index also. There is a method to measure it (pinching the side of the body at waste). You must have the fat on your body for the normal ovulation. Too much or too little and you have problem.
If every thing is average and still have any doubt then see a Gynaecologist and have yourself checked out completely.
Make sure you learn to take fat reading so you can check it once in while yourself at home.
PS:
If you have added exercises to your routing life style then this can happen. Most long distance female runner can have this happen to them.

The normal period runs from 3-7 days in length. Sometimes the normal can change as our bodies change hormonally. But I would definitely get in touch with your dr to have them evaluate the situation to see what they think.

If your periods are getting shorter, it is usually an indication of a problem with your sigmoid colon (not semi-colon).
