I heard that limewire is for free songs. Is that true too?

if your rich iTunes..
liomewire is better because it is only illegal if you download it for free.
but you can pay like 30 bucks for a lifetime membership.
and get 300000 songs for the price of 30 on iTunes

You can get any song in the world through Limewire, but I think they are trying to shut it down. One bad thing about it is you have to download a song to your computer before you can even begin to listen to it. So if your exploring new music it is very frustrating.
I have had iTunes, it is not that good, as far as song selection.
I now have Napster, and it rocks. You can get almost any song that you want. They have over a 3 million song library.
Napster is also a streaming music site, which is nice, you can listen to a song somebody brings up in literally five seconds, and forward that song to middle or end immediately, you can't do that with Limewire.
You can also download music to over 75 types of mp3 players as well, not just an apple iPod, like iTunes.
Trust me, Napster is the way to go. It is better than it used to be. They have revamped the whole site. It blows iTunes away.
Way better selection of music. More options to take your music to go.

Better for YOU?
Well, then the obvious answer is LImewire. You can get as many songs as you want, and you don't even have to pay for it!
The RIGHT thing to do?
iTunes. Downloading songs for free is illegal. The artists want you to pay for their music.
I buy stuff off itunes because I feel bad using Limewire. I don't feel sorry for the ARTISTS, i just don't think it's right.
But it's your decision! It's almost impossible to get caught using Limewire since sooo many people are using it. they'll probably shut down the site.

Limewire deprives the artist of the money they work really hard for. I know the main message of music is not money (hopefully) but the artist did put effort into there work, and they deserve some respect for that! So, in my personal opinion, itunes is the best!

I think that I tunes is better because you dont have the virus problem that you have when downloading music from limewire, so its better to pay for some songs than paying for a computer damaged.

Apparently, Limewire is not authorized to offer free songs to download, making their service illegal.
iTunes is authorized, and offers a new, free song to download on a weekly basis. You can get the free song download from iTunes, and other music services, at http://free-music.8k.com/

limewire because you are getting to access to millions of others hard drives.just make sure that you check and re heck that the file is mp3 or whatever your getting

it's true they are free but Limwire has had a past for cuasing computers to get a virus and serious one. iTunes they do cost you like .99 cents for one song, so it's REALLY cheap. I would go with iTunes, also with iTunes u can make cds.
