they are used as book marks so that you can trace back to old questions to see the results or new answers. so in a way they are good for you. they cost 20 points to use. just kidding! they're free. hope this helps. =)

are you talking about stars as in movie stars?
or stars in as in the kind that you use in Yahoo?

a movie star is someone who is 2 faced. Who wants people do love and adore them and then gets mad because the people are invading their privacy.

the stars Yahoo uses are to tell if the users think you've asked an interesting question. You can e-mail the question to someone else if you want and that is where the stars come from.

a star is someone who is a very lucky person. doesn't mean they are the best, just that someone noticed them. they could be good for you becasue they are just people too. no, it doesn't cost you anything, but it cost the star a lot. i know because my son is famous. its only a job, but people perfer the word "star"

it was suppose to bring the questions that are worth viewing to the front, but I rarely use them, they have no value otherwise!
