I want to have flash cards on my computer so I can flip through them on the screen. Is there any way I can do this for free? If I would have to pay how much and what would I have to buy?

You can use languages that are available for free to make it.

I recommend visual basic for people who are new at programming. It's not free but you can always find help for it not to mention it will teach you the fundamentals of programming. So that you can later use a more complex language like C/C++

Why not just go to download.com and search for "flash cards" and see what comes up?
