Maybe in your case but it wasn't in mine. I had always heard that also. He left town and then we got back in contact, married and now divorced. I hope yours has a better ending then mine. We were together 2 different times, so maybe this is what jinked mine. lol

I have never experienced getting together after a breakup... All my breakups were forever... But I agree with this statement in a sense that you can't keep someone by your side against their will. My husband is free to leave any day he decides he no longer wants to be with me; but he sticks around, so I'm guessing he must love me! :)
I think, people break up and come back for many different reasons. If you feel good about your relationship - then it's working for you. Just because someone left, then came back, is not a "good" or a "bad" sign - it can be either of these depending on the context of the relationship.

I always told my girlfriends this when they would break up with guys and continue to call them. I experienced it when I met my soon to be husband (on saturday!). I knew I was going to marry him from the start. Well, he dumped me. I couldn't understand because I knew I was going to marry him. So I took my own advice, didn't call, e-mail, nothing for three months. Then one day I was out with my first love (we dated off and on in between other bf's and gf's) and I ran into my future husband for the first time in 3 months. We went to lunch that week and we've been together ever since. 4 years now. I guess there is something to the saying. I never have looked back to the past, the time when we were apart. I've just been grateful that we both realized we are meant for each other. We couldn't be happier! I would say it's a good sign. Just move forward and enjoy that you are together again.

No. I do not believe in that silly saying. There are all sorts of reasons why we lose things, and several reasons why we may not get them back. If you lose your purse but do not get it back, does that mean that it wasn't yours in the first place? I am glad that you got back with your man. I hope things work out for the two of you. Just ensure that the issues that caused the first break up are resolved so that you will have a better, fuller relationship than the previous one. If they are not, then you will only break up again. And its not necessarily that you two didnt really belong together, but we have to be wise and practise good relationship management skills.

Sometimes when you break up, you realize what a good thing you had with that person, and get a chance to come back and make it better. It's not always the case but good for you if it's working out. The end of that saying goes something like this.... if it doesn't come back, hunt it down and kill it!!! lol

If it is going good do not mess doubt yourself. If you doubt yourself then he will sense it and then things may go bad. And yes I believe If you love some one they will come back if you let them go.

Yes, I believe it's true. If you let them go, it gives them time to think, to spread their wings a little bit. It shows them what they are missing..and obviously it was you. He came back to YOU...He must love you. Grab it and run!! ;-)

I think it is somewhat believable, but you never know what may happen when you break up. I am glad it worked out well for you.

Consider the entire saying: If you love something let it go. If it comes back it is yours. If it does not come back, hunt it down and kill it.
