I know she was wrong ans she should know better, but i dont think sending her to a regular jail is appropriate.

She is getting mistreated just like Lil' Kim was mistreated.

If Martha Steward got to go a more relaxed jail then other celebrities should too.

I'm not saying that they deserve special treatment, but they are well known and people might be jealous. They are more likely to be hurt than others.

Martha said her jail time was like being back in college, it wasn't fair that LiL Kim had to go to jail with hardened criminals and neither should Paris (even if they claim they are going to separate her).

Aww, my friends agree with most of you. I just feel like she isn't normal, people already know who she is. What if people want to harm her just because she is "Paris Hilton" thats not really fair. well in my opinion its not fair.

I don't recall saying Paris was in jail already.

I think you need to get your facts straight first.

She is not in jail yet, she will not be going to jail until 6/2/07.

She did not get another DUI, she was cited for driving on a suspended driver's license after she signed papers in Court indicating she was aware she could not drive for the next 90 days then tried to back peddle by saying "well I never read what I signed!".

While it is true she is going to a regular jail, Century Regional Detention Center, Los Angeles, she will be segregated away from the general population for her own safety.

While the Courts do allow some celebrities the option of doing their time at a small, out of the way jail if they pay room and board costs, as she a (albeit a sad, pathetic one) role model for younger peers (as was L'il Kim) the Judge chose not to allow her that option to set the example of if you do the crime, you had better be willing to do the time.

I think you are making excuses for these celebrities eventhough you say you aren't. They deserve to be punished just the same as anyone else, and shouldn't deserve special treatment just because they are famous. Martha Stewart should have been put in a regular facility as well instead of her 'holiday' that she did get. They should be punished the same as everyone else in order to make an example of them. Maybe other celebrities will think twice before they do dumb things.

I think all celebrities should go to normal jail. What makes them any different from other criminals. A DUI is still a DUI.... a parol viloataion is still a parol violation.

She obviously hasn't learned her lesson from the first DUI charge. She was lucky the first time. But, she went and drank again, and then decided to drive.

I think prison is going to wake her up really quick, and show her that this is the REAL world.

she needs to go to a "regular" jail. let the real world give her a big slap in the face for doing something stupid like driving under the influence. She doesn't deserve special treatment. she's an Idiot!!!

The problem with celebrities is that they think that they deserve preferential treatment. Bottom line is you do the crime, you do the time REGARDLESS of WHO you are!!!

She is always welcome to serve her time here, in The Great Land of Alaska. I promise I will be visiting her daily just to show her my perfect 90 degrees "loser" sign.
